A few weeks ago I headed to the fashion district in downtown Los Angeles. I was with my friend on a bead hunting mission (I make jewelry for fun in my spare time), but came across this cute holographic star glitter. I thought I would try out a design using the stars for an accent nail and here is the result!
For this design I used another Sephora Formula X polish (I know I’m obsessed) in the shade Indelible. Indelible is a light purple creme polish. The picture above of the polish captures the shade perfectly, but it appeared darker in the photos of my finished mani. As with the other Sephora polishes that I’ve tried, it applied easily and only needed 2 coats for full coverage.
I think this design is cute but as the star pieces were so large, it was difficult to get them to sit flat on the nail. Even so, the mani lasted 4 days before I started picking the stars off. Unfortunately I ran out of my go to topcoat, Seche Vite, and instead used a cheap one I’d picked up at the drugstore.
Overall, a cute and fairly quick design, I think it took me around 45 minutes, but I just don’t think it’s perfect enough.
My Mum is visiting from the UK this week, which I’m extremely excited about! She always has me paint her nails, so I’ll be posting the results on here as we usually come up with some cute designs.
