It’s spring in Los Angeles, although it feels more like summer, feeling inspired I decided to create a spring time manicure with polka dots and a mint pastel polish.
Once again I used one of my lovely Sephora Formula X polishes, but any mint polish would do. For the base I chose the shade Unmistakable, a pale mint creme, and topped it with white polka dots on some nails and another Sephora polish, Wham, on alternating nails. Wham is a topper coat packed full of matte white hex, circle, and bar glitter.
I really like how this mani turned out. To create the polka dot effect I used a dotting tool dipped in white polish and carefully applied it to my nails. I’m impressed as it has lasted almost a week! This look works well for spring and summer. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was my shoddy application of polish towards the cuticle. If anyone has any pointers for how to perfect this line, I’d love to hear them.
I’m very impressed with these Sephora polishes and would love to get more. My Mum came to visit a couple of weeks ago and she bought a gorgeous top coat from the same line, it’s clear with small pieces of iridescent foil glitter. It’s gorgeous anyway and now I want it!
